To unbox the Canon Pixma TS9520 printer, place the printer on a table or in a large surface area, and get a knife, scissors or blade to begin the process. Tear the outer cover of the Canon Pixma TS9520 printer package using a knife or blade. Take the outer cover off the package. Remove the top protective tape using the scissors. Open the top flaps of the Canon Pixma TS9520 printer package and check if it contains all the materials related to the printer. Otherwise, directly select the printer series on the Support for Printer screen and perform the instructions displayed on the screen.

How to Print

Here are the guidelines to print photos on the Canon Pixma TS 9520 printer.
- Raise the Pixma TS 9520 printer's rear tray and extend its paper support.
- Grasp the feed slot cover and open it gently. Move the paper width guide on the right-hand side to open both the paper width guides.
- Place the photo paper in portrait orientation on the paper input tray. Make sure the print side of the photo paper is facing up.
- Move the width guides such that the photo paper is held in place.
- Close the Brother device's feed slot cover. Check the Pixma device's LCD to find out whether the paper kept on the input tray and the media type match. Tap Yes. If they don't match, tap the Change button and set the media type according to the type of paper placed on the paper tray.
- Raise the Pixma TS 9520 printer's control panel. Pull the paper output tray slowly and extend the paper output support. It is important that you raise the control panel before printing because printing will not start unless the control panel is raised.
- Launch the Easy-PhotoPrint Editor on your computer. To open this program, navigate to the Start menu All apps Canon Utilities Easy-PhotoPrint Editor.
- If you are using a Mac computer, navigate to the Go menu located in Finder Application double-click Canon Utilities Easy-PhotoPrint Editor Easy-PhotoPrint Editor.
- Then, click the Photos icon on the top of the screen. Select the Browse button and click on the folder which contains the photos for printing. Once the folder is opened, choose a photo by clicking it and then click Open to enter the Print Settings screen. If you want to select multiple images on the computer, hold the Ctrl button on Windows computers and the Cmd button on Mac computers.
- After selecting the photo/photos and clicking Open, you will have to specify the number of copies, paper size, and the miscellaneous options. Then, click Print.
- If you need to print photos from a smart device, then, open the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY application on your smart device. Tap the Photo Print option. Make sure the printer and smartphone are connected to the same Wi-Fi SSID. Choose a photo on the smartphone and then set the printing preferences. Choose Print to begin printing the photo.
How to Copy

Here are the steps to perform a copy operation on the Pixma TS 9520 printer.
- Power on the Pixma TS 9520 printer and wait until it initializes.
- Make sure you connect the Pixma device to the power supply directly and not via a power strip.
- Grab the cassette from the bottom and pull it out gently.
- Move the paper width guides to the sides. The paper width guides are located on the front and sides of the cassette.
- Place the paper sheets in portrait orientation in the cassette and make sure their print side faces down.
- Align the paper width guides according to the paper sheets so that they are held in place. Ensure that the paper width guides do not crumple the paper sheets.
- Load the cassette with the paper sheets back into the printer and then look at the LCD.
- Check whether the screen displays the correct media type automatically. If it doesn't, tap the Change button and set the media type manually. After setting it, tap Yes.
- The next step is to press the 'Copy' button, but before that, the operation panel needs to be raised. Failure to do so will stop the copy task from being executed.
- Raise the control panel, tap Copy, and then choose Standard copy. Raise the Pixma device's document cover and place the original document with the print side facing down. Take care to align the original document with the alignment mark on the Pixma device's scanner glass. Close the cover.
- Choose either Black or Color for black & white or color copy, respectively. If you need to load multiple pages continuously for copying, load the sheets in the Auto-Document Feeder.
How to Scan

Follow these guidelines to scan documents on the Canon Pixma TS 9520 printer.
- Power on the Pixma TS 9520 printer and wait until the device initializes.
- Keep the original document on the TS 9520 printer and launch the IJ Scan Utility on your computer.
- When IJ Scan Utility opens, click the Auto option. The scanning begins automatically. You can click the Settings (Auto Scan) button to select the destination folder for the scanned document.
- To scan documents and photos manually, place the original documents on the scanner glass. Launch IJ Scan Utility on your computer and choose Settings on the IJ Scan Utility window to set the scanning preferences.
- After setting the scanning preferences, click Document or Photo as required. Then, click the OK button once the scanning process completes.
- You can also use ScanGear to scan documents on your computer. Launch ScanGear on your computer and click the Basic tab. Place the documents on the Pixma device's scanner glass and then select the source by choosing the appropriate source from the Select Source drop-down list.
- Set the destination, output size, and cropping frames. Choose the Image corrections option if required. Then, click Scan. You can click the Advanced tab to have more control over the scan process.

Follow the procedure stated below to scan documents or photos from your computer.

Launch the Canon IJ Scan Utility software on your device.
It can be installed when you install the MP Driver package. If not, download it separately from the official site.
Once you launch the IJ Scan Utility app, you have to click the Settings button.
Modify any scan settings such as Paper Size, Resolution, PDF settings, and more.
Tap OK once you change the settings.
Load the original document on the platen. Ensure that the scan side is facing downwards.
Next, click the Document or Photo option based on the document you have loaded.
Once the scan procedure is complete, you can save the documents to your system.

WIRELESS SETUP

Tap the Connect button from the home screen of the control panel.
Press the Yes option on the ‘Connect to a Computer or Smartphone, etc. Please Confirm’ screen.
Download the Canon MP driver on your computer. Double-click on the Canon printer driver setup file to begin the installation.
Click the Next button available on the Initial screen. Specify the administrator username and password in the next pop-up window.
Tap the Start Setup button on the Start setup screen.
Choose the Next option on the Before You Continue screen and then select your Region or Country.
Comply with the License Agreement in the proceeding step.
On the Check the Connection Method screen, choose the Yes option when the printer model is displayed.
Click the Add Printer button available on the next page. Select your printer from the list displayed.
Tap Next in the Test Print window. Choose the list of additional software that you wish to install on your device.
The wireless printer setup is now complete.

WIFI DIRECT

Check if the Canon TS9520 printer is turned on and tap the Setup option.

Choose the Settings option followed by the Device Settings option.

Next, select the LAN Settings option and then the Wireless Direct option.

Enable the Wireless Direct option and confirm by tapping the Yes option.

Turn on the Wireless feature on your device and wait till the list of printers displays on your screen.

Choose the Canon printer with the name DIRECT in it. Specify the Security Key and tap Connect.

Search and open the document or image you wish to print and go to File. Click the Print option.

Apple AirPrint

First, make sure that the Canon Pixma is switched on. Ensure that it is connected to the same wireless network.
For this, make sure that you have an access point through which you get the Internet connection.
Make sure that your access point is completely functioning. Now, make sure that your computing device is connected to the Internet.
Then, choose the Share option so that you can see the display menu options.
Now, tap the Print icon and select the Pixma ts9520 model from the printer option that you want to use.
Then modify the print settings. Select for the number of copies that you want to print.
Start the printing process by taping the Print option.

PIXMA Cloud Link

First, select Canon Image Gateway that you see on the main screen.
Now, type the login id and password, and select the login option.
The album will show a list, select the desired album.
Now, you can find the images being displayed. Select the image that you to want to print.
Then select the Next option.
Make sure to change the print settings as required and then select Color.
Then, start with the printing process and select OK.

Google Cloud Print

First, to start printing with Google cloud print, get the Google account.
Then, register with the Google Print.
Next, ensure that the Canon printer is turned on.
On the Home screen, select the Settings option.
Proceed to select the Web service setup option.
Now, click to select a Web service connection setup.
Then, choose the Google cloud print option
select Register with Google Cloud Print.
If already registered, skip the step.
Select the display language on the Print Settings screen of the
Google Cloud Print.
Select OK by loading an A4 sheet paper.
Ensure with the authentication URL is printed and then select the option Yes.
After the display of the successful registration method, select OK
Now, to print from Google cloud, ensure that your Canon Pixma printer is on.
Access the Google Chrome browser on the computer and sign into Chrome by clicking the Chrome menu.
Now, log into the Google account. Then, choose the option Print from the Chrome menu.
Next, select the Change option for the next destination.
Now, select the Canon Pixma ts9520 printer in the Google Cloud Print. Then, proceed to select the Print option.

Canon Pixma ts9520 can raise problems like paper not fed properly, printing results unsatisfactory, paper jam, cannot print properly, no ink comes out, printing does not start, etc. For this, make sure that the printer is connected correctly to the computer. Then check whether there is enough ink. Clean the rollers, toner cartridges, and drum unit.

Printer Offline

Make sure to turn on your Canon Pixma TS9520 printer.
Also, ensure that both the computer and your Canon Pixma TS9520 printer are connected to the same wireless network.
To resolve the problem, disable the Use Printer Offline feature.
Perform the following steps to disable the Use Printer Offline feature on Windows.
Press the Windows key and enter the letter R to open the Run box.
Enter the name of a program as Control Printers in the Open field and then select the OK button at the bottom of the screen.
Choose your Canon Pixma TS9520 printer in the displayed list, and right-click the selected printer to open the menu.
Select the See What’s Printing option from the menu to view the next window.
Open the Printer tab and then uncheck the tickmark next to the Use Printer Offline option to disable it.

Printer Reset

Proceed with the following steps to reset the Canon Pixma TS9520 printer to the default settings.

First, turn your Canon Pixma TS9520 printer on.
Use the Up and Down arrow keys to select the Setup option on the main screen of the printer control panel.
Choose the Device Settings option from the displayed list and then press the OK button.
You will see the various reset settings like Web service setup only, LAN settings only, Settings only, and Reset all option.
Select the Reset All option and then press the OK button on the Canon printer control panel to reset your Canon printer to the printer default settings.

When your Canon Pixma TS9520 printer is not printing, perform the steps below to resolve the problem.

First, turn on your Canon Pixma TS9520 printer.
Press and hold the ON button till the LED turns on.
The LED will turn off after a few seconds. Connect your Canon printer to the computer.
Connect your Canon Pixma TS9520 printer to the PC using a USB cable.
If you find any damage in the USB cable, try to replace it.
Do not use any relay device like a USB hub to set up the connection.
Check the network settings of your printer and do the changes as per your requirement to perform the printing function.
You can also download the IJ Network Device Setup Utility application software to diagnose any network problem.
Download and open the Canon IJ Printer Assistant Tool application to check and change the printer operation mode.
Also, check the printer operation panel to change the feed settings.
On Windows, download and launch the Canon IJ Status Monitor application.
Select the Display Print Queue option to view the print queue window on the screen.

Choose the print jobs from the displayed list which you wish to delete from the print queue.
Open the Document menu and then click the Cancel option from the list.
Click the Yes button when the confirmation message appears on the screen to delete the undesired print jobs from the print queue list.
Place the output paper tray in the correct position.
Do not use a different printer driver. If you have installed a different (incompatible) printer driver, uninstall it and then install the latest version of the Canon Pixma TS9520 printer driver.
Select your Canon printer in the Print dialog box and make sure to set Canon Pixma TS9520 as the default printer.
Turn on the Prevention of Print Data Loss feature to print a large data file. But it will reduce the print quality of the output printed image or document.
Once you complete printing the large data file, make sure to turn off the Prevention of Print Data Loss feature to improve the print quality of the next printing function.
If you perform the printing operation from your PC, restart your computer to resolve the printing issue.

Press and hold the ON button to power on the Canon Pixma TS9520 printer.
When your Canon printer fails to turn on, check whether the power cable is connected to the power outlet.
Disconnect the power cable from the Canon printer and then reconnect it after 2 seconds to resolve the issue.
When your Canon printer turns off automatically, perform the steps below to disable the Auto Power off feature.
On your Canon printer operation panel, go to Setup ECO Energy saving settings to view the settings window on the screen.
Select the Next button when the subsequent window opens, click the Auto Power Off option and then choose the Never option.
Click the OK button on the printer operation panel to disable the feature.

If you want to disable the Auto Power Off feature from your PC, proceed with the following steps.
Download the Canon IJ Printer Assistant Tool application or ScanGear driver on your PC.
Double-click the downloaded Canon IJ Printer Assistant Tool application to open it.
Click the Select Printer option to choose the Canon Pixma TS9520 printer from the list and then select the OK button on the screen.
Select the Auto Power Off option, click the Disable option, and then select the OK option to save the settings.
Now, select the OK button when the next window appears on the screen to disable the feature to resolve the problem.

PRINTHEAD DAMAGE

Change the ink cartridge to resolve this issue. Open the scanner unit of the Pixma TS9520 printer.
Wait till the printhead holder moves to the replacement position.
Uninstall the cartridge in which the ink level is low. Unpack the new Canon ink cartridge and peel off the protective film.
Place the cartridge in the correct slot and close the scanner cover.
To resolve this error, you can also clean the printhead.
Load a plain paper in the Canon printer's input tray after checking if the Canon TS9520 printer is turned on.
Tap the Setup icon and then choose the Maintenance option.
Press the Cleaning option and tap Yes in the Confirmation screen.
Print the nozzle check pattern once the cleaning process is complete.
Else, remove the printhead from the Canon printer and wipe the filters with warm water. Wipe the printhead with a tissue to dry it.
Finally, modify the text color top dark grey, and the cartridges will print properly.

FIRMWARE UPDATE

Ensure that the Pixma TS9520 printer is turned on.
Press the Home button and then select the Setup icon.
Choose the Device Settings option followed by the Firmware Update option.
Select the Install Update option and tap Yes.
On the next screen, press the Start Update button.
Wait till the update is downloaded and installed successfully.
