How to know the Canon printer’s IP address

  • Using the Canon IJ Network Tool
  • If your Canon printer supports this utility, then you can use it to know the IP address of the printer.
  • Launch the Canon IJ Network Tool Utility on your computer.
  • Click on the Settings menu.
  • Choose the Configuration option.
  • Now, you can see your printer’s IP address displayed below the Configuration section; note it down

You can also use your Windows or Mac computer to find the IP address of the printer. But, make sure that your Canon printer is added to the Printers list on your computer.

For Windows

    • In the Devices and Printers window of your computer, select your Canon printer and right-click on it.
    • Click Properties > Web Service or Ports.
    • The IP address of your Canon printer can be found in the Web Services or Ports tab; note it down

For Mac

  • Click on your Canon printer on the Printers & Scanners screen.
  • Locate the Location section and find out your printer’s IP address in it.

Accessing the Remote UI of your Canon printer

  • On your Windows or Mac computer’s browser, type the IP address of your Canon printer.
  • If prompted, type the credentials in the given field to log in.
  • Once you have logged in, on the main screen of Remote UI, you can find the following sections and menus: 
    • Device Basic Information
    • Consumables Information
    • Support Link
    • Refresh Icon
    • Language
    • Log Out
    • Mail to System Manager
    • Status Monitor/Cancel
    • Settings/Registration
    • Address Book

Setting up Menu Options from Remote UI

  • On your Canon printer’s Remote UI screen, click on the Settings/Registration tab.
  • Now, choose the setting that you wish to configure from the list.
  • Configure the settings as per your need.
  • After configuring the settings, click the OK button.
  • Restart your Canon printer to save the settings.

Registering destination from Remote UI

  • Select the Address Book option on the main screen of the printer’s Remote UI.
  • Click on the Coded Dial option.
  • Now, if you find any address that is not registered, then click the Not registered link beside it and enter the asked information in the given field to complete the registration process.
