UNBOXING
  • Unwrap the IJ Start Canon TR8520 printer from the box and check if there are any damages.

LOADING PAPER
  • You need to know certain information before loading the sheets.
  • The recommended paper for your print job (mentioned in the user manual), and the tray to which it should be fed (based on the print job).
  • To feed paper in the rear tray, raise the rear tray cover until it stands on its own and extend the paper support.
  • Look for the feed slot cover and open it.
  • Widen the paper guides and place a small amount of paper stack into the rear tray.
  • Remember to place the sheets with the print side facing upwards.
  • Now, slide the guides in the reverse direction (towards the sheets) and secure them.
  • The paper information registration screen will display only if the feed slot cover is closed. So make sure the cover is closed.
  • To load paper in the cassette which is at the bottom of the machine, you need to detach it completely from the device.
  • The removable cassette cover should be taken out temporarily.
  • Paper guides should be extended (one in front and the other towards the right).
  • Load the recommended paper by pressing the lock downwards and extending the cassette.
  • Slide the guides back until it reaches the edges of the loaded paper.
  • Now, close the cassette cover and place the unit (cassette) back into the machine.
INSTALLING INK CARTRIDGES
  • To install the ink cartridges, you need to lift the scanning cover and position it.
  • Wait until the print head moves back to its position.
  • Take the ink tank and hold it by its sides. Remove the orange tape, protective film, and the orange protective cap.
  • Insert the ink tank into the machine's print head in a slanting position and snap it firmly into its place.
  • Repeat the same process for all the ink tanks and close the scanning cover.
