Preparing the printer, computer, and router

  • Initially, ensure that your Canon printer’s hardware setup is completed, including the alignment process.
  • Next, ensure that your printer is not connected to the computer over a USB or wired connection.
  • Check to ensure that your computer is connected to the same wireless network to which you’re about to connect the printer.
  • Download the latest and most compatible GX7021 printer driver for your computer if you haven’t downloaded it yet.
  • Switch on the printer if it is turned off.

Initiating “Easy Wireless Connect”

  • Locate the Wireless Connect button on your printer screen.
    • Hold Down The Button For A Few Seconds
  • Now, hold down the button for a few seconds.
  • When the “Follow the instructions on your computer or smartphone.” message appears on the printer screen, release the button.

Completing the Wi-Fi setup

You can use your iOS, Android, PC, or Mac to complete the rest of the Canon MAXIFY MegaTank GX7021 Wi-Fi setup process. If you need to know how to complete the Wi-Fi setup using the printer’s setup file with Windows, follow the instructions below.

  • Open the printer setup file for Windows on your computer.
  • Click the Start Setup button on the main screen.
  • Perform the prompts displayed on the screen to reach the “Check the Connection Method” screen.
  • Check and confirm your printer serial number and wireless network name on the opened screen.
  • Click Yes on the same screen.
  • Select your wireless network name (SSID) and type its password when prompted.
  • Click Yes.
    • Click Yes
  • Once your Canon printer and the computer are connected to the same wireless network, the “Connection completed” screen will open.
  • Click Next.
  • Download and install the MP drivers of your printer on the computer by following the prompts displayed on the screen.
  • Once the drivers are installed, the “You’re now able to print from your computer” screen will open.
  • If you wish to perform the Test Print operation, click Test Print on the same screen.
  • Otherwise, click the Next button.

  • Complete the rest of the Canon MAXIFY MegaTank GX7021 wireless setup by following the prompts displayed on the screen.
