Canon Ij Scan UtilityWill Not Scan

Solution 1: Basic troubleshooting

  • Ensure that your Canon printer is turned on.
  • Check if the connection between your printer and computer is stable. If you have connected them via a USB cable, check if the cable is connected properly at both end ports.
  • For a wireless connection, check the network status and restart your printer.
  • In the IJ Scan Utility window, verify if your printer name has been selected in the Product Name drop-down menu.
  • Click the Settings button and verify the scan settings.
  • Make sure that you have properly placed the original document on the scanner glass.
  • If the above-mentioned settings were incorrect, your Canon IJ Scan Utility would not scan your document.
